Software Engineer – SOE5

My client based in Leeds are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join their team.

Role:

• Specify detailed requirements for customer-specific software development, integration, and accounts integration in consultation with customers and other team members
• Estimate development and testing effort, and determine dependencies on the customer
• Assess third party system integration options
• Design, code, and document software developments
• Test software changes, develop automated tests, and document the test and any defects found
• Investigate and fix software and data issues
• Configuration management of documentation and source code
• Develop, maintains, and shares thorough understanding of SME accounting terms, requirements, structures, and systems
• Comply with company policies & processes, particularly for quality, data protection, information security & secure systems engineering

Competencies:

• Degree qualified or 3 + years’ experience in a similar role (Essential)
• Strong knowledge and experience of C# & .NET developer (Essential)

Technical experience to include:

• C# (mandatory: excellent level)
• MS .NET (mandatory: excellent level)
• SQL Server (mandatory)
• XML, web services (mandatory)
• accounts integration API (desirable: Sage 50, Xero, Sage 200, and other systems)
• Agile development
