Cyber Incident Responder – CR3

My client, a leading cyber security consultant, based in Manchester are seeking a Cyber Incident Responder to respond to active cyber threats, conducting client facing on-site resolution, analysis and review real time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client facing, hands on and technical response to a cyber/data breach
• On-site analysis and real time resolution of the threat/breach
• Reassurance and proactive client management to ensure the highest level of customer service is delivered
• Ensuring best practices are adopted and all ISO guidelines are followed

Required Experience and Skills:

• Proven exposure of intrusion detection and vulnerability analysis
• Exposure with network analysis tools and an ability to conduct packet capture analysis
• Strong understanding of networking principles including TCP/IP, DNS etc. and commonly used Internet protocols such as SMTP, HTTP etc
• System administration skills in either Windows/ Solaris/ Linux
• Intrusion Detection Systems and methods of security hacking/penetration testing
• Malware triage to determine whether an identified file exhibits potential malicious intent
• Exposure of at least one scripting language (Python, PHP, etc)
• Able to review raw log files, data correlation, and analysis (i.e. firewall, network flow, IDS, system logs)
• An appreciation of procedures surrounding forensic acquisition, as well as the ability to undertake forensic behavioral analysis on a host
